Hamilton Park Racecourse

Let’s take a nice stroll down to the south of Glasgow in Scotland to visit one of the best racecourses available, the Hamilton Park Racecourse. It is also noted to be one of the oldest racecourses in the world, with the first race at Hamilton Park Racecourse first held back in 1782. It is Scotland’s great sporting heritage, definitely worth visiting even just for enjoying the amenities and experiencing the historic ambience of this particular venue.

You will be surprised to see just how beautiful this racecourse is as soon as you arrived on the venue. Gorgeous surrounding views are there to entertain you the whole time, even at night with lights and gorgeous views of the sky creating the ambience. The Hamilton Park Racecourse is also famous for being glamorous and exciting, especially with several new hospitality features being added to the complex. You can enjoy virtually anything, ranging from heart pumping actions by top jockeys and horses to entertaining live music performances by top international artists. It is definitely Scotland’s most high profile racecourse.

While you are visiting Hamilton Park Racecourse, make sure to take your time and enjoy some fine dining experiences at the on-site Dukes Restaurant and Marquee Restaurants. There are also packages available to make enjoying races a lot more pleasant. I personally recommend going all the way and opting for the Prestige, with access to private bar and private box or chalet as well as other first class amenities. You will also meet horse owners and other avid horse racing fans, guaranteeing superb experiences that are worth every penny.

York Racecourse

There are a lot of racecourses spread across the nation. Some offer different attractions than the other, while several racecourses also offer additional attractions aside from heart pumping actions and amazing races. One of the racecourses that stay true to the world of horse racing is York Racecourse. Although the racecourse also offers other facilities such as event venue and the famous Melrose Club Lounge, it is definitely one of the best racecourses in terms of track quality and available amenities.

The York Racecourse is located just southwest of the city of York in North Yorkshire, England. This racecourse is noted to be one of the largest in the area, with spectator capacity of 60,000. In 2003, York Racecourse won the Racecourse of the Year title. The award was given by The Times and it was the result of the newspaper’s survey of all Britain’s racecourses. This is a solid achievement, proving that York Racecourse is one of the best indeed.

The 60,000 spectator capacity is certainly not for nothing at all. The York Racecourse hosts some of the best flat races for sure, including the always anticipated annual Ebor Handicap, which is run during the Ebor Festival meeting in August. It is definitely one of the best time to visit York Racecourse, with top races and superb actions guaranteed to entertain you throughout the visit.

Of course, as mentioned earlier, those of you who are privileged enough can enjoy the spectacular ambience of Melrose Club Lounge while watching the International Stakes or Yorkshire Oaks.
